The ACTSAFE, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CORP., an accredited Safety Training Organization (STO) of the Department of Labor and Employment – Occupational Safety & Health Center (DOLE-OSHC), will be conducting a 40-hr mandatory Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for Safety Officer 2 (BOSH SO2) in the Public Sector, at the 2F ActSafe Corp., Jesena Bldg., Jalandoni St., Iloilo City Proper, Iloilo City.

The training is mandatory for GOVERNMENT OFFICES with the need for a SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER (SHO) in pursuance of CSC-DOH-DOLE Joint Memo Circular No. 1 series of 2020 - OSH Standards for the Public Sector, wherein Heads of Government Agencies shall appoint or designate a Safety and Health Officer that will:

1. Undergo training on Occupational Safety and Health and related programs;
2. Act as the focal person of the agency in the implementation of programs to eliminate hazards in the workplace and to correct and/ or amend risky and/ or unsafe work practices;
3. Serve as Secretary to the Safety and Health Committee.
4. Report on the occurrence of accidents; and,
5. Coordinate all safety and health training programs for the agency management and employees.

Furthermore, this course includes learning sessions that will develop/enhance the participant's knowledge, skills, and attitude on the basic concepts and principles of OSH towards an effective OSH implementation in the workplace. In addition, they will be able to know how to respond to workplace emergencies and participate in the conduct of emergency drills. Also, they will gain confidence as effective trainers in delivering OSH topics for the workers, among others.
