The Western Visayas OSH Network, a partner of the Occupational Safety & Health Center (OSHC), will be conducting a 40-hr mandatory face-to-face Basic Safety and Health Training for Safety Officer 2 (BOSH for SO2).

The training is mandatory for establishments in the GENERAL INDUSTRIES with the need for a SAFETY OFFICER 2 (SO2) in pursuance to Section 3(v) of the DOLE Department Order No. 198-18, otherwise known as the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Republic Act 11058 “AN ACT STRENGTHENING COMPLIANCE WITH OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARDS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF.”

Furthermore, this course includes learning sessions that will develop/enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitude of the participants on the basic concepts and principles of OSH towards an effective OSH implementation in general industries. In addition, they will be able to know how to respond to workplace emergencies and participate during the conduct of emergency drills. Also, they will gain the confidence as effective trainers in delivering OSH topics for the workers, among others.

This training is highly recommended for OSH advocates, safety officers, OSH committee members, HR managers, facility engineers/supervisors, company owners/managers, and individuals with relevant fields of undertakings from private companies and government institutions, the academe, and health care service enterprises.

Registration fees will defray meals (AM&PM snacks and lunch), training materials, administrative costs, and honoraria of resource speakers.
