About the event
The ACTSAFE, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CORP, an accredited Safety Training Organization (STO) of the Department of Labor and Employment – Occupational Safety & Health Center (DOLE-OSHC), will be conducting a mandatory Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for Safety Officer in the Public Sector via the Zoom App (online).
The training is mandatory for GOVERNMENT OFFICES with the need for a SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER (SHO) in pursuance of CSC-DOH-DOLE Joint Memo Circular No. 1 series of 2020 - OSH Standards for the Public Sector, wherein Heads of Government Agencies shall appoint or designate a Safety and Health Officer that will:
Undergo training on Occupational Safety and Health and related programs;
Act as the focal person of the agency in the implementation of programs to eliminate hazards in the workplace and to correct and/ or amend risky and/ or unsafe work practices;
Serve as Secretary to the Safety and Health Committee.
